Specialist Basketball Program
Our basketball program has been endorsed by the Southern Tigers Basketball Association, and we are excited to offer this opportunity to dedicated basketballers in our school community.
Students who are not initially successful in Year 7, have the opportunity to apply again, for the Basketball Specialist Program in Year 8, if positions become available.
Applications are being accepted now for the 2027 School Based Basketball Specialist Program and need to be finalised by Friday 13 November.
Trials will be held at Willunga High School on Tuesday 24 November 9:00am – 11am.

Basketball Specialist Program Selection process/steps
Please adhere to the following process and timeline for your child to be considered for the basketball program.
| Step 1 | Parent/Caregiver identifies their child's interest in teh program via the Willunga High School Basketball Program Application Form | Monday 9 November |
| Step 2 | Parent/Caregiver and Student must complete the Willunga High School Basketball Specialist Program Application Form booklet. Include evidence of academic ability, (i.e. most recent school report) and a supporting statement from the Primary School and Club/Community. Once complete, email to: dl.0909.info@schools.sa.edu.au | Friday 13 November |
| Step 3 | Students undertake the trial game process at Willunga High School | Tuesday 24 November (9am - 11am) |
| Step 4 | All documents and trial results creates a “package” that is reviewed by Willunga High School Leadership. | Thursday 26 November |
| Step 5 | Students identified as part of the top 12 will have their Primary School contacted to confirm their ability to commit to the program and study. | Friday 27 November |
| Step 6 | Students are chosen based on the review of all information and numbers available (maximum 12 students). All students involved in the selection process are informed of the outcome via registered email. | Monday 30 November |
