Vocational Education & Training

VET courses provide students with the opportunity to develop specific industry related skills, including Workplace Learning placements.

Students with vocational education and training (VET) qualifications are well prepared to take on apprenticeships (including school-based apprenticeships), further education and training, and skilled jobs. VET courses at Willunga High School enable students to achieve their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) while learning vocational skills and working towards industry-accredited qualifications.

Courses offered at WHS include:
  • Certificate I Construction
  • Certificate II Wine Industry Operations
  • Certificate I Hospitality
  • Certificate II Hospitality – Kitchen Operations
  • Certificate II Hospitality – Service

Our school is a part of the Southern Adelaide & Fleurieu School Alliance (SAFSSA). Through this alliance, students have the opportunity to study one day per week at another school to gain qualifications in a wider range of VET options.

For more information on all the options available, please refer to the brochure:

Students are also able to complete courses at other training organisations, such as the Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), MADEC or TAFE SA if a course that they are interested in is not offered through SAFSSA.
