SUMMARY:Year 12 Formal - postponed
DESCRIPTION:The 2020 Willunga High School Year 12 Formal will be held at Serafino’s on Friday 27 March from 6:00pm to 10:30pm. Canapés and photos will be between 6:00pm and 7:00pm\, during this time parents are welcome to join us. Students will not be permitted into the venue after 7.00pm. \nTickets are $100 per person which includes canapés and a 2-course sit down meal\, soft drinks\, photographs and decorations. A deposit of $50 must be paid by Friday 28 February with full payment no later than Friday 20 March. Tickets are non-refundable after the close of sale due to venue booking. \nWhile the formal is a social occasion\, it is a school function and normal school expectations are therefore placed on those who attend. This includes appropriate behaviour\, dress and conduct inside and outside the function. These expectations will also apply to any outside guests attending. Guests’ behaviour will be seen to be the responsibility of the Willunga High School student who invites them. \nThere is to be no backpacks in the venue\, no alcohol consumed before or during the Formal and smoking is not permitted. Students are expected to stay until the end of the evening. Anyone who leaves the function before 10:30pm cannot return. \nWe look forward to the Formal and hope that the Year 12 Students and guests have an enjoyable and memorable evening.

DESCRIPTION:An excursion has been planned for Year 11 and 12 Art and Design students for Tuesday 24 March (Week 9). \nAll students will visit: \n\nThe SACE YEAR 12 ART & DESIGN SHOW\, Light Square Gallery\, Adelaide Centre for the Arts\, 39 Light Square Adelaide.\n\nThis exhibition is made up of selected work from last year’s Year 12 Art & Design students and provides our students with the opportunity to see the standard of work at this level. Work on display will include: \n\nFolio / Developmental / Back Up Work.\nMajor Art Practical Pieces (ie: Drawing\, Painting\, Sculpture\, Computer aided art and design work).\nMajor Design Practical Pieces (ie: Graphic Design\, Environmental Design and Product).\n\nArt and Design students will have the opportunity to examine the variety & quality of work. Students will examine\, take notes\, sketch and photograph examples of the art and design work. \n\nART GALLERY OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA\, North Terrace\, Adelaide\n\nStudents will have the opportunity to view: \n\nAbstract Art of David and John Dallwitz\nVarious Art works IE: Impressionism\n\nPlease see over the page for a full copy of the program. \nStudents are expected to wear school uniform and normal school rules will apply. They will need to take their recess with them. DESCRIPTION:Students have the opportunity to join an Activities Week session going to Noarlunga Cinema to see Frozen II (PG) or The Addams Family (PG). \nTransport is provided by Willunga Charter and will see the students leave the school at approximately 9:00am and returning by 2:55pm. Students will be supervised throughout the day by a number of teaching staff from Willunga High School. \nAfter attending the film\, students will have the opportunity to go to either MacDonald’s or KFC on Beach Road and purchase lunch\, although we encourage students to pack their own lunch.\nStudents are also encouraged to wear a hat whilst outdoors.

Students will be in small groups of 6 with a qualified instructor from the Aquatics Centre running each activity. There will also be a number of teachers involved in the supervision of the students. \nStudents will need to bring a packed lunch and drink with them.
